The QYS brass and percussion sections feature in the premiere performance of Katherine Summit’s Fanfare. We welcome the brilliant violinist Shaun Lee-Chen, Concertmaster of the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra, as soloist for the first time with QYS in Mozart’s Violin Concerto No. 3. To conclude, Strauss’ exhilarating Alpine Symphony, a majestic musical depiction of a dawn to dusk hike in the alps and the wanderer’s confrontation with the overwhelming forces of nature.
