The Queensland Youth Orchestras invites you and a guest to join us for a very special 60th anniversary celebration on Tuesday 12 May 2026 on Speaker’s Green, Queensland Parliament House from 6.30pm. Midst the architectural grace of this picturesque courtyard space, you will be entertained by the Queensland Youth Symphony, a world-class youth orchestra comprising more than 90 extraordinarily talented young Queenslanders aged between 13 and 24 years. Under Conductor Simon Hewett, they will perform a captivating contemporary and classical repertoire including Jurassic Park Medley and Star Wars Suite by John Williams and IV. Allegro con fuoco from New World Symphony by Antonín Dvořák. Light refreshments will be provided.
