QYS Concert Two

What an amazing QYS concert! Congratulations to Xenia Puskarz Thomas for her beautiful performance of Mahler's Des Knaben Wunderhorn, and a big thank you to conductor Nicholas Cleobury for generously re-arranging his commitments to assist us by stepping in for John Curro. A massive congratulations also goes out to our orchestra for once again delivering an incredibly high-level concert, with repertoire including Wagner's Prelude to Die Meistersinger and Mahler's Symphony No.1 'Titan'.⠀⠀

The QYS concert on the 25th of May was a great success and I am really happy.  My deepest thanks to Nicholas Cleobury who was so kind to step in for me when I had to go to hospital after one rehearsal. (I believe the Mahler songs with Xenia were particularly beautiful) Thank you QYS, you are a fabulous orchestra!

My great friend and fabulous musician Peter Luff will begin rehearsals for our final concert and hopefully I will be back soon. If necessary, Gwyn Roberts is standing by for NYCC.

QYO is thriving and continues to be a fabulous organisation – long may it continue!
