Welcome to all of our new and returning members, families and supporters. With a very successful 2017 behind us, we look forward to 2018 featuring world premieres of new works by local composers, collaborations with guest ensembles and soloists, music camps, regional tours and day trips, and our National Youth Concerto Competition, all under the expert guidance of our artistic team of conductors and tutors.

350 of our musicians will head off to weekend music camps over the coming weeks. We wish them a great time as they explore new repertoire and get to know the other ensemble members.

We welcome Bohdan Davison as this year's Big Band conductor, filling in for Rafael Karlen who has moved to Sydney for one year. Bohdan is a former member of the QYO Big Band and currently teaches at Churchie.

QYO is presenting three concert series in 2018 with an amazing variety of ensembles and repertoire: the QYS Concert Series, Concerts at Twilight and Morning Music. Please help us to spread the word and invite your family and friends to attend these concerts.

Thank you for your support for QYO and we look forward to a year of great music making.
